The music draws on elements and influences from across the world, incorporating metalcore, hard rock, ambient, cinematic music, R&B, DSBM and much more. This refusal to accept musical boundaries allows Tear The Abyss to connect with listeners across genres and backgrounds.
Viscera follows the philosophy that art is for everyone and that remaining confined to a single sound would limit the ability to communicate the story. This idea ultimately led Tear The Abyss to the heart of the Swedish music industry.
Project Status
Production & Development
Tear The Abyss recorded its debut single “What Kind of God” at the renowned Studio Bohus in Kungälv, Sweden, with Niclas Engelin of The Halo Effect and Oscar Nilsson as producers. Thomas “Plec” Johansson handled the mastering.
Together, they helped develop Tear The Abyss’s distinctive style through their production, musical ideas and years of experience.
The collaboration represents one of the many bridges Viscera is building within the international music industry, helping to establish Tear The Abyss as more than just another metal band.
The ambition is to create a reflection of the world, presented through music that can move people and continue to resonate with them for many years to come.
